What does the concession for educational trips consist of?

The concession is aimed at all students in state upper secondary schools belonging to families with an ISEE indicator of up to €15,000 and will be granted until the available resources are exhausted, taking into account only the chronological order in which the application is submitted.

If I have more than one child, can I claim the concession for each of them?

The funds earmarked by the Ministry are allocated to educational institutions. If a student already benefiting from the concession at one school moves to another school, from that moment on, he/she can no longer benefit from the concession granted by the school of origin. However, if the student has not yet taken advantage of the concession at the school of origin, he/she can reapply for the concession within the established deadlines and until the resources allocated to the new school are exhausted.

What happens if my child has obtained the facility and then changes school?

You can submit your application for the concession from March 27 to May 31, 2024. Please note that applications will only be accepted until resources are exhausted.

How do I check if I have obtained the concession?

I cannot access Unica; how can I send my request?

Log in to Unica with your Parent profile and from the main menu first select 'Services' and then 'Enrolment'. If you do not yet have a profile on Unica, after logging in with your SPID (Public Digital Identity System), CIE (Electronic Identity Card), CNS (National Services Card) or eIDAS (electronic Identification Authentication and Signature) you will find a direct link to enrolment. If, on the other hand, you already have a profile on Unica, but not as a parent, go to your Homepage and you will find a notice on the page with a direct link to access the service.

 How do I access the online enrolment application form?

Get in touch with the school to which the enrolment application is addressed, or the school your child currently attends. These schools will enter applications on behalf of families who request them as of 18 January.

 I do not have a computer with internet access or an e-mail address, how can I proceed with enrolment?

In order to proceed with enrolment, it is not necessary for the child/children to have been previously associated with the parent/person exercising parental responsibility on Unica by the School Administration Office. All you need to do is to access Unica using one of the available authentication methods (SPID, CIE, CNS and eIDAS), go to the section dedicated to the online enrolment service to initiate the procedure, then enter the information regarding the student/s to be enrolled.

I cannot find my child/one of my children associated with me on Unica. How can I proceed with online enrolment?

Every school can provide support in filling out the application, and their administration offices have a function that allows them to enter the application online on behalf of the family.

 I need assistance in completing the online application. Who can I contact?

The service is available from 8 a.m. on 18 January 2024 until 8 p.m. on 10 February 2024, 24 hours a day, including Saturdays and Sundays.

 Are there specified times for filling out the online enrolment form?

When filling out your application, you can use the School Finder quick search tool, which can be accessed from the same page as the application. Alternatively, you can find it while enquiring about schools to which to send your application on the Scuola in Chiaro website, or you can contact the school itself.

 How can I find the code of the school or Professional Training Centre (CFP) for regional vocational education and training to which the enrolment application should be addressed?

The code consists of ten characters, the first two of which indicate the province of the school.

 How do I recognise the code of the school or Professional Training Centre (CFP)?

Yes. For pupils already attending a year other than the first year, no enrolment is necessary for the next school year. Enrolment in years subsequent to the first is done ex officio by the school attended and, if you wish to change schools, you do not need to enrol online but must contact the secretary of the school currently attended.

 Does online enrolment only concern pupils going into the first year (of primary and secondary schools)?

No, there is no online enrolment. For pre-schools, enrolment must be done directly at the administration office of the chosen school.

 Can I enrol online for pre-school?

You can go to the school of your choice for enrolment or, alternatively, to the school your child currently attends: both can provide online enrolment.

 I am a foreign parent with no tax code. How can I enrol my child?

Yes. It is possible to create a provisional code which the educational institution will later replace with the definitive tax code.

 My child does not have a tax code (he has just arrived in Italy), can I enrol him in school using the online procedure?

SIDI is the Information System of the Ministry, which also manages the National Student Register. Your child has already been registered in this register with data that is different from that which you have entered. You must report the problem to the school he/she is currently attending. Once the error has been verified, they will correct the data in the register. In any case, you can continue with online enrolment.

 I have correctly entered my child's tax code but the system tells me that the data are not aligned with the SIDI system. What does that mean?

No. In order to avail yourself of parental education and ensure the fulfilment of the education obligation, you have to submit a specific declaration to the nearest state school, proving that you have the technical skills or material means to provide for the child's education on your own or by attending a non-state school.

 I am a parent and want to personally provide for my child's education (parental education). Do I have to use the online enrolment procedure?

No, this is not necessary. The online enrolment form is filled out by one parent only, who declares that he or she has shared the choice with the other parent by placing a mandatory tick in a specific box.

 I have read in the Ministerial Circular on enrolment that the enrolment request, as part of parental responsibility, must always be shared by both parents. How can this declaration be made with  online enrolment? Do both parents have to fill in the application?

Yes. The application for enrolment must always be shared by both parents, regardless of the separation or divorce situation and regardless of the type of custody. The online form incorporates the provisions on 'parental responsibility' and requires the parent completing the application to declare that he or she has made the choice of school with the consent of the other parent.

 Can separated/divorced parents carry out online enrolment?

Decisions of major interest to the children, such as those concerning education and upbringing, must always be shared by the parents. For this reason, enrolment can be carried out by either parent without distinction, but it is necessary for the parent filling out the enrolment application to declare that he or she has chosen the school in agreement with the other parent. In the online enrolment form, this declaration is made by placing a mandatory tick in a specific box. Also in the paper form, used for preschool enrolment, there is a specific declaration that must be signed by the parent submitting the application.

 In the case of separated parents, who should fill out the application?

 If I want my child to attend lower secondary school at the same institution where he is currently attending the last year of primary school, do I have to enrol?

No. Enrolment is carried out by the foster family directly at the chosen educational institution to ensure adequate protection and confidentiality for the child.

 I am about to complete adoption procedures for a child, currently in pre-adoptive foster care, who is to be enrolled in the first year of primary school. Do I have to enrol online?

Applications will be processed between 18 January and 10 February 2024 regardless of the order in which they are received. In fact, in compliance with the autonomy of the educational institutions, the priority criteria are decided by the school councils and must respond to principles of reasonableness. This excludes the order of arrival of enrolment applications.

 Is it true that enrolment applications are accepted in order of submission? What happens if I submit my application on the last day?

Yes, you can pause the compilation, save the application and not submit it. Only when you click on the 'Submit' button will the procedure be completed and the enrolment application sent to the school of enrolment and made visible to the school of origin.

 Can I keep an unfinished application pending?

No. To change an application that has already been submitted, you must contact the receiving school to have the application returned. It will be made available again on Unica (the status of the application will be 'Returned to family'). The return of the application must be requested within the submission deadline (10 February 2024). Once modified, you must re-submit the application.

 Can I modify an application that has already been submitted?

Enrolments for pupils with disabilities made online must be completed by presenting the certification issued by the relevant ASL, including the functional diagnosis, to the chosen school.

 What documentation must I submit to the administration office of the school I have chosen for the enrolment of my child with disabilities?

To enrol in a lower secondary school with a music course, the pupil must take an aptitude test. If there are no places, the enrolment application is sent by the first to the second school indicated in the form. There is no restriction on indicating a second and third secondary school with music courses  in the online enrolment application. It is suggested, however, that the aptitude tests be held on dates subsequent to the date on which they will be held in the first school chosen, in order to allow the student to participate. In fact, if in the second or third school the aptitude test is held earlier and there are no places available, it will not be possible to organise another aptitude test and, therefore, the application cannot be accepted.

 Is it possible to apply for enrolment in more than one lower secondary school with a music course?

Before submitting, you can view a preview of your application. The PDF of the application is always available on the page listing your enrolment applications and can be viewed using the 'Print application' button marked with a printer icon. The printout of the application shows only the data requested by the first school chosen and the names of any other schools chosen.

 Why can't I see the other chosen schools in the printout?

 How/when will I be informed about acceptance of the application?

After submitting your application, you can follow its progress from the Enrolment page on Unica, by consulting the application status from the 'Your applications' list.

 How can I track the application after submission?

Each school accepts enrolment applications on the basis of available places. If it receives a larger number of applications, priority criteria or scores decided by the School Council will be used. These criteria are visible on the online enrolment form and on the website Scuola in chiaro.If the application is not accepted, the secretariat will send it to the second or third school indicated in the online form and the system will notify you of any change in the status of the application by email.

 Are all enrolment applications accepted?

The submission receipt only shows the first school chosen as the one to which the application is submitted. It will be the responsibility of this school to forward the application to the school indicated as second (or third) choice in the event of available places being exceeded. You will receive notification at the email address you indicated in your application.
