The Music and Dance High School, divided into its respective sections, is oriented towards the theoretical and technical-practical learning of music or dance.
Through specific composition, interpretation, execution and performance activities, students acquire mastery of music (first and second instrument) or dance (classical or contemporary).
Learning music or dance complements the study of standard high school subjects: Italian, foreign language, history and geography, philosophy, mathematics, physics, natural sciences, art history.

- understand the codes of musical writing and use a second instrument (polyphonic or monodic) to supplement the main instrument;

- use both classical and contemporary techniques, focusing on the constituent elements of different languages and styles and being able to conduct a structural analysis;
- be able to interact constructively in collective performances;
- understand the historical profile of artistic dance, also in its interaction with music, and use pertinent categories in the analysis of different expressions in the field of choreography;
- know and analyse significant works from the dance repertoire.
